JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | A pair of freshmen are the New Jersey City University Week 10 Athletes of the Week for the 2019-20 season. Rookie runner Jose Recinos (Union City, NJ/Union City) of the men's cross country team takes home the accolade for the first time after a school-record performance while outside hitter Xarial Chandler (East Orange, NJ/University) of the women's volleyball team is the women's recipient for the third time. Chandler was also named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week for the first time in her career.
